FAN EMAILS:Hi,
I was the luckiest Mainlandmama in the land to spend 21+ months livin' in the lap of Haleakaka and working with the sweet ladies of Charley's in Paia, when I had the ultimate enjoyment & opportunity of hearing and watching ya'll perform there on several occasions. I have the Poster from Halloween '04 proudly displayed on my kitchen wall here on the High Plains in the Texas Panhandle.
Hope to get back to the islands soon and another chance to groove to your vibes Maui style once again. Much Mahalo for giving this Maui transplant some musical satisfaction via your website today!

Hi Anastasia,
Caught you guesting on Manao Radio this afternoon. Nice spread! Your new CD sounds great. I tried to win one, but I guess I had a hard time beating everyone to the punch all the way from Boston.
I've ordered your CD, I hope to see you and the band live some day, and I'll be listening in on April 1st. No tricks now, ya better show up.
Take care,
Craig

THANKS! Just am hearing your new CD now...very cool stuff. Your voice SO amazes me. I can't wait to hear the tracks at home on the speakers that will actually do it justice instead of the cheap pair at work.

Hi,
Your CD rocks or should I say blues? Anyway love it!
I quickly put it on my ipod and listened to it on the plane to Colorado.
I think we'll be seeing you at the grammies.
Wishing you all the best,
Andy

Hello Anastasia,
It's Tony. The bald black guy that sat in the Four Seasons lounge mesmerized by your sound and beauty. I seriously could've sat and listened and watched you to no end. I just wanted to let you know that I love your CD. I've never heard a voice such as yours. And you also gained a few more fans here in Texas when I played your CD in my office.
I just want you to know that sitting in that lounge and listening to you and then meeting you was a highlight of my trip and will not be forgotten. And I sure hope to find you doing the same when I get back out there. I'm already looking forward to it.
Hope to see you soon.
Till then,
Tony

Hey Suns,
I really, really love your CD. In fact, I put it on my iPod when we got home Saturday night and listened to it and took it to bed and kept listening until I fell asleep. You guys got a really great sound, you look great - the whole package is fantastic.
Take good care and see you soon.
Aloha,

Hometown Motown Soul ***** 5 Stars!
Reviewer: Bryan (Detroit, MI)
Growing up on the westside of Motown in the 60's where soul is an extra chromosome you're born with, or something you first heard from the womb on WKNR AM radio. Remember the best of the Temptations, Gladys Night, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder? Far from the streets of Detroit, Voodoo Suns appear from out of nowhere with the rock and soul sound that jumps out at you and kicks you in the lost nerve you last felt on the city streets where you grew up. Voodoo Suns Haleakala Kitchen brings a hefty dose of rock and soul that attaches itself to the base of your spine and welcomes you home to what you've been missing for so very long. Make yourself at home with a pot of your favorite coffee early one sunny Sunday morning and while your still in your sweats and favorite sweatshirt, close your eyes and soak in this CD from start to finish. Rock and Soul Satisfaction, feel free to sing along at the top of our voice, just don't spill your coffee. You'll thank me later.
Tasty licks, solid songwriting ***** 5 Stars!
Reviewer: MauiBreakwallSurfer (Maui, HI)
This band knows its tradecraft. Solid songwriting, outstanding bass player, professional production, and the singer can really belt. They could use a drummer with more imagination. I like it more and more with each listening.
Nice to hear pros play serious music ***** 5 Stars!
Reviewer: Bembamboo (Planet Earth)
Georgous fretless and other bass, kicking tuned drums'n rattles, guitarist is unpredictably fine, rumbling hammond and lectric piano, her vibato is deep {trk one}, lyrics sometimes a little trite or weak choruses, harmonies are welcome, nice song structure, would be a treat to walk into a Hawaiian club and hear these musicians! Very much so.
Good mellow work music **** 4 Stars!
Reviewer: Susan (San Jose, CA)
This CD has a couple of stand-out tracks, especially Invisible. Otherwise, it's a pleasant CD to play while I'm in my office at work.

FROM THE POSTMAN:Dear Anastasia and VooDoo Suns,
Your participation was instrumental in making this year's Art Affair a glamorous gala, superb auction, successful fundraiser, and talk of the town. Please hear our applause & take a bow. Many thanks to you and the entire band. You were the perfect sound for the evening and helped us reach out to a younger audience. You helped our fundraising with your generosity & that of others, the HUI raised more than $120,000.
It was a great dance blast!
